Australia's first unified community sporting festival, bringing together the Dharmic community for a day of sport, culture and celebration.
Futsal, Netball and Kho Kho are mixed-gender, each with a minimum number of women on court at all times. That minimum is a floor, not a cap, you are welcome to field more women, or an all-women team, and you will play against mixed teams. Throwball is an all-women competition.
| Sport | Squad | Category | Match format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Futsal | 8 | Mixed, 2 women on court | Five-a-side football on a hard court. Two 20-minute halves. |
| Throwball | 10 | All women | Seven on court plus three subs. Three sets of 10โ13 minutes (TBC). |
| Kho Kho | 12 | Mixed, 3 women attacking | Traditional South Asian tag sport. Innings of 5 minutes. |
| Netball | 10 | Mixed, 3 women on court | Seven-a-side, three subs. Four 8-minute quarters. |
Match formats are set for a fast-moving festival day. Throwball's set length is still being confirmed.
All four sports run across the day, each at its own scheduled time between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Team captains receive the full match schedule ahead of the day.

A team can enter two sports as long as their scheduled times don't clash. Check with us before registering for two so we can confirm the timing works.
Throwball is an all-women competition. A squad entering Throwball fields a separate all-women squad from any other sport they also enter. Playing two sports costs a discounted $225 for the pair, rather than $150 twice, see the fee section below.
Every team plays three games in the main round.
All teams are ranked on a single leaderboard, and the top four proceed to the semi-final playoffs.
The semi-final winners meet in the final, and the winning team in each sport takes home a cash prize (amount to be confirmed).
Dharma Games is open to everyone, with one simple requirement: at least 70% of your squad must be of Dharmic background. Beyond that, your team is welcome to include players from any background.
Players must be 15 years or older, and the games are competitive, so come ready to play. All skill levels are welcome, from social players to seasoned athletes.
Register as a solo player and we will do our best to place you in a team.
There is no fixed lunch break, the day runs straight through, but food trucks serve throughout the day, so you can eat whenever suits. Complimentary water and electrolyte drinks are provided to all players, and qualified first aiders are on site all day. Bring your own water bottle, appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and your team colours if you have them.
Entry is free for all spectators, so bring everyone along to soak up the atmosphere. Across the day there will be food from Chai Nook Parramatta (chai and vegetarian Indian street food) and Karma Kitchen, opening and closing ceremonies, and plenty to join in, including games like carrom, gilli danda, ring toss, tyre and stick and cornhole.
Lock in your team's spot for Australia's first Dharma Games.
